Myself & my partner stayed for 1 night to see a show. From start to finish the service was impeccable even accomodating an early check in. Added bonus if parking & only 10-15 minute walk into town. The room was beautifully decorated, spotless with comfortable bed , luxury toiletries with tea & coffee making facilities provided. Definitely worth a visit , will be back soon for another visit

Rooms were ok, but the mattress definitely too soft... Breakfast service was nice. Had a good continental breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was on the peaceful side of the road, woke up with birds singing. Walking distance to the centre, around 25min. Cross the road is Sainsbury extra open until 11 which is very convenient. Breakfast was tasty and healthy options were available. Only negative, we couldn't find anyone to top up coffee machine with hot water, we noticed other people as well looking for the person in charge of breakfast but no luck finding them.

This hotel was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever seen. There was a nice smell in the room, especially in the bathroom. We loved it! The bed was super comfortable, you will have a great sleep. The bed softness is neither super soft nor hard Breakfast was included! We loved it! When any food ran out on the table, a lady immediately replenished it. She was very kind to us. They have a free car park for 4 cars, when we went there was only our car. The rooms are kind of big. There was no bathtub, there was a shower but everything was very high quality. It takes a while for the hot water to come.

Our room No1 was very compact, the bed was comfy but had a tilt in the mattress where people had slept in the past that will only get worse in time. Although clean, I could sit on the toilet wash my hair in the shower and brush my teeth in the sink all at the same time if I wanted, as the bathroom was soooo small. Just over a mile to walk from the edge of Canterbury city centre which we initially thought was fine. But after a whole day walking around, it was up hill coming back with my purchases and that 1.3 miles seemed to go on forever. So much so one evening we decided not to walk back in for dinner but go to the local Sainsbury's across the road and get a sandwich. Breakfast was basic continental of cereal, toast and croissants and a large bowl of mixed fruit.

My recent stay at Bat and Ball was a pleasant experience. It´s located outside the city centre but you can easily walk 25 minutes or take the bus or taxi in short time. The staff were all friendly and helpful, but I’d like to give a special nod to the young lady who worked there on March 30 for her thoughtful attention. She welcomed all guests at breakfast with a kind and service-minded attitude . My room was impressively clean and tidy by this lady. Towels neatly folded, cushions nicely arranged on the bed, and everything in order. It’s not often you find someone with such a good eye for detail these days, and it made my stay feel special. Bat and ball is a lovely spot, and I’d happily recommend it to others albeit not located in central Canterbury.

Loved my two night stay at The Bat and Ball. A big thank you to all the staff - Claire/Jasmine/Jordan. They are super friendly and very accommodating as I needed to leave for work early and prepared breakfast out of the usual time. The rooms and bed are modern, clean and comfortable. Thank you. I will be back again!

Nice clean place, unfortunately our room was overlooking the main road making it very noisy, sounded as if there was a window open. Staff very polite and helpful. Around a 25 minute walk from shops etc.
